Henry County
is strategically located on I-75. With a total of seven interchanges within its borders, the county attracts more than 100,000 visitors daily. An abundance of quality available buildings, business parks and sites; a qualified and enthusiastic work force; excellent incentives and cooperation of city and county governments combine to make Henry appealing to both potential residents and companies desiring to relocate.
Henry County is comfortably close to Atlanta. In less than 30 minutes via automobile, drivers can be in the Downtown metropolis. It also takes a short period of time to reach one of the busiest airports in the world, Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. In addition to the convenient access, it is easy to connect with Atlanta’s other interstate routes by way of I-675, which begins in north Henry. Interstates 85 and 20, via I-285, are short connections away. Port service in Savannah and Brunswick is only a few hours away by way of I-75 south to Macon, then I-16 east to the coast of Georgia.
Located in the heart of one of America’s fastest-growing regions, Henry is just two hours by air and a two-day drive to 80 percent of the U.S. population. This means that when your company is located here, your products can be on their way to your customers in a very short time.
Hartsfield-Jackson Airport, managing more than 800,000 tons of cargo each year, has become a leader in this service. Because it has facilities totaling in excess of one million square feet, the Atlanta airport is a port-of-call for more than 20 all-cargo air carriers as well as more than 100 motor carriers that provide expedited transportation for air cargo shipments. For rail service, Henry County looks to Norfolk Southern Railway, a Class 1 carrier, to provide direct mainline access to the county. Intermodal (or piggyback) service is available in Atlanta provided by Norfolk Southern and CSX Transportation, with advance, all-piggyback and container shipments between the container port in Savannah and Atlanta. Amtrak provides passenger rail service in Atlanta, with regular departures to New York and New Orleans. And for companies needing shipping, Henry County is ideally situated within 300 miles of four seaports on the south Atlantic.
